Welcome! I'm so happy that you are here. I'm Danielle. I provide reading intervention services throughout Central, New Jersey. As a certified Reading Specialist and Orton Gillingham Practioner, I partner with both families and school districts to provide expert, research-based reading support and professional development that makes a lasting impact.
Why is reading intervention so important?
Reading Intervention is imperative when children are struggling to learn how to read. It's essential for children with Dyslexia and other reading disabilities. Research shows that children with early reading intervention can help reduce the percentage of children reading below grade level from 30% to less than 5%.

How do you help struggling readers learn how to read?
I use various multi-sensory strategies that allow students to use their senses (mostly sound, sight, and touch) to help them break the alphabetical code and learn how to decode. I use several different kinds of manipulatives and tactile objects to reinforce the skills being taught. I also rely heavily on repititon and review to help build automaticity and fluency.
